SC. 01The sound

Photos are how it looked.
Film is how it sounded.

The vows in his voice. Your mam laughing in the next room. The best man’s third attempt at the joke. That only lives in film — and skipping it is the one thing couples most regret.

SC. 02The moments you’d hate to lose

Not a highlight reel.
The bits that actually mattered.

The morning

Before the nerves,
before any of it.

Your dress going on. Your people around you. The calm before the best day of your life.

A bride in a lace dress in soft window light

The vows

The words,
in your own voices.

Recorded clean on wireless audio — so in twenty years you can still hear exactly how it sounded when you meant it.

An emotional moment between a couple at the altar

The walk-out

The confetti.
The chaos. The joy.

Everyone you love, throwing everything they’ve got, all at once. The loudest thirty seconds of the day.

Golden hour

Twenty minutes,
just the two of you.

No posing marathon. A couple of easy prompts, the best light of the day, and you — back before you’ve missed your drinks.

A couple silhouetted against the setting sun

The first dance

The bit you dreaded —
and then loved.

Half a song of just you, then the floor fills with everyone you love. You get a first dance and a full dance floor.

SC. 03The films

Five real weddings.
Zero trailer tricks.

Every film is exactly what the couple received. Ask anyone for their full films before you book — if they’ll only show highlights, ask why.

SC. 04The promise

“We’ll feel awkward
on camera.”

Almost every couple says this on our first call. The honest answer: you won’t be asked to perform. Most of the day I film like a guest who happens to have a camera. For the ten minutes that need direction, you get a couple of easy prompts — talk about your first date, walk, laugh — while I’m stood over there. Natural moments, really styled.

More honest answers

We can’t dance. The first dance terrifies us.

Half a song, then the DJ calls every couple onto the floor with you. A first dance and a full dance floor — and parents who never dance, dancing.

I don’t want to feel anxious in public.

Couple shots are planned like a shot-list — bang, bang, bang, done in 20 minutes — in the quietest spot we can find. More laughing than posing.

What if it rains?

There’s always a covered option scoped before the day. And if you’re up for it, we embrace it — umbrella portraits look cinematic. There’s always a way.

SC. 05The word

“The final video was incredible… something we will treasure forever.

Google review

“We can very much tell you’re passionate about what you’re doing — that shows.”

“You listen to Darius. Everybody listens to and does what he says.

You’re not booking
a camera. You’re booking me.

I’m Darius. I’ll be beside you for most of the best day of your life — so it matters that you actually like me. I’m the calm one who knows your timeline better than you do, gets your gran laughing in the group photos, and quietly fixes the thing that was about to go wrong before you ever hear about it.

And I’ll always tell you what I can’t do. If you’re on a tight budget, I’ll tell you honestly how to get the most from it — even if that means not booking me.

More about me

SC. 08Questions, answered straight
What time do you arrive, and how long do you stay?

Usually from morning prep until half an hour after your first dance — that’s when the film has everything it needs. Exact times get planned together on a call, then I send everyone a written schedule so we all have it.

When do we get our film?

A share-ready sneak peek within 48 hours. Your full film is hand-graded and delivered within 8–12 weeks in a private online gallery.

What if it rains?

Planned for before the day: covered spots scoped at your venue, and a wet-weather portrait plan you’ll actually like. There’s always a way.

Do we need to feed you?

Yes please — and honestly, feed whoever you book. A fed videographer at your evening meal is one who’s still sharp for the first dance.

How do you hold a date?

A 10% deposit and a signed contract. The balance isn’t due until two weeks before the wedding. I can’t hold dates on a promise — weekends go fast.

Do you travel outside the North East?

Anywhere. One of the films above was shot on a clifftop in Greece. Travel is quoted upfront like everything else.
